AP — Authorities said Friday they are looking to toxicology reports for clues to the death of Saoirse Kennedy Hill, a granddaughter of assassinated presidential candidate Robert F. The Kennedy family confirmed the death in a statement after police responded to a call Thursday afternoon about a possible drug overdose at the storied Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts. Tragically, he was felled by an assassin's bullet only minutes after declaring victory in the California Democratic primary. After an impassioned and magnanimous speech, Kennedy gave the crowd a thumbs up, flashed a "V" for victory and ran his right hand across his drooping forelock, a gesture eerily reminiscent of his slain brother. And in the decades since his death, however, a distorting mythology has developed around Bobby that does little justice — either to his abundant flaws or to his unique strengths.
Kennedy emerges as a red-hot rebel in a Roy Lichtenstein pop art print. Time commissioned it as a cover image for May 24,just two weeks before Kennedy was killed in Los Angeles. History knows Sirhan Sirhan as the man who killed Robert Kennedy. He was convicted under the decision that he was motivated by anger and vengeance for his country. But it appears that there could be more to this story than that. But who was this year-old that ended the life of a could-be president?
Senator Kennedy has been … Senator Kennedy has been shot! Is that possible? It is possible, ladies and gentlemen!
We're told that Emilio Estevez's "Bobby" takes place at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles on June 5,but it feels like it was originally released back around then. It's "Earthquake" with the RFK assassination as the disaster. It's " Airport. They talk about the movies -- new stuff like " The Graduate ," " Bonnie and Clyde ," " Planet of the Apes " -- but a retired doorman played by Anthony Hopkins explicitly invokes the model for "Bobby" and and its ilk: "Grand Hotel," the picture with Greta Garbo and an all-star cast.
